WINNIPEG — Jets fans who complained about obstructed views following renovations in the off-season, could see some changes next year.
In a letter to season ticket holders the Winnipeg Jets outlined it’s plans to improve seating.
They include the replacement of all cushions and seats covers in the upper and lower bowls, and new bleachers in the south-end lower bowl.
At the start of the 2015-2016 season many fans with seats in the upper deck found their view was obstructed by metal railings after loge seating was added.
The Jets say they will work to address that, this summer.
“After an extensive study of design alternatives, building code, and product offerings, a thorough glass project will be implemented throughout the MTS Centre. Where code and safety allows, steel mesh and sight-obstruction steel posts will be replaced with seamless glass throughout the venue.”
It was not immediately clear how many seats would see an improved view.
The letter also said 350 new TV screes would be added throughout the concourses and public walkways.
