VERNON — The identities of the two young Okanagan women killed in a single-vehicle crash have been revealed through social media.
They’ve been identified as Paige Whitelaw and Carlee De Boer. Both were 21-years old.
They died early Sunday morning when the pick-up truck they were traveling in, crashed on Highway 6.
The single vehicle crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. near Waddington Drive.
Police say a white 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck with five people inside was travelling eastbound when the it failed to make a curve and rolled several times.
Whitelaw and De Boer were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pick-up, a 21-year-old Armstrong man, is under investigation. Police say speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors.

VERNON — Flowers lay on the side of Highway 6 about a kilometre east of Vernon after a fatal accident early Sunday morning that killed two 21-year-old women.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 6, near Waddington Drive.
Police say a white 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck with five people inside was travelling eastbound and couldn’t make the curve on the road.
The vehicle hit the shoulder and rolled several times, according to RCMP.

The two female passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 21-year-old male from Armstrong, is under investigation. Police say alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors.
Five firefighters from the Vernon Fire Department responded to the scene.
The B.C. Ambulance Service transported two patients to hospital.
The highway was closed in both directions for several hours overnight but has since reopened.
In total, five young people were killed in single-vehicle crashes in B.C. from Friday morning to Sunday morning – two near Vernon, two in Cranbrook, and one in Mission.
