WINNIPEG — Manitoba’s New Democrats have lost another longtime member ahead of the April 19 provincial election.
Tourism Minister Ron Lemieux is not seeking re-election in the Dawson Trail constituency.
More details will be released at a media conference at the Manitoba Legislature on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
On Monday, Premier Greg Selinger said Lemieux has recently been struck with health concerns.
The announcement comes a month after other high-profile members of the party decided to quit.
They include Justice Minister Gord Mackintosh and former finance minister Jennifer Howard.
