A suspicious death investigation has resulted in charges being laid by Saskatchewan RCMP. Police and paramedics were called to a report of a deceased male on Waterhen Lake First Nation at 7:30 p.m. CT on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Tommy Fiddler, 56.
Meadow Lake RCMP said an altercation occurred at a home prior to his death and the victim was reported to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Gordon Joseph Fiddler, 62, is facing charges of second-degree murder and prohibited possession of a firearm. He’s expected to appear in Meadow Lake provincial court on Feb. 29.
RCMP say the victim and the accused were known to each other and both are from Waterhen Lake First Nation.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place next week in Saskatoon.
