Penticton Vees win three league major awards

Tyson Jost Faces Off.

The Penticton Vees have cleaned up in BC Hockey League voting for major individual awards.

Forward Tyson Jost has won the the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy for Most Valuable Player.

Team mate Dante Fabbro has won the Top Defenceman award.

And Vees head coach, Fred Harbinson, gets the Joe Tennant Memorial Trophy for Coach of the Year.

It’s the third time Harbinson has won the honour.

The other major awards went to Vimal Sukumaran of the Chilliwack Chiefs who was named Rookie of the Year.

Coquitlam Express forward, Colton Kerfoot, is the league’s Most Sportsmanlike Player.

The winners are chosen by BCHL head coaches.
