The B.C. Coroners Service has identified the victim in Thursday’s paragliding accident as Barry Kleiter, 43, from Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

Kleiter was flying a powered paraglider solo when he fell about 300 metres into an Enderby field. He had been taking a paragliding course for about one week.

An instructor was in radio contact with Kleiter from the ground.

There is still no word yet on why Kleiter lost control of the ultra-light aircraft.
