With the threat of flooding this weekend, the Emergency Operations Center in the North Okanagan has been activated.
The centre is now a Level 2, meaning personnel are on standby and ready to respond to flooding emergencies.

With the area under a rainfall warning, there is a threat of flooding in the Ashton Creek and Enderby area.
With more rain on the way for the Southern Interior, the threat of flooding is very real for residents in the North Okanagan and Shuswap.
The B.C. River Forecast Centre says a flood watch has ended for the North Thompson River. The river peaked early Friday morning and levels are expected to recede by Saturday.
Meanwhile, a flood watch has been issued for the Shuswap/North Okanagan region, which includes the Shuswap River, Eagle River and the surrounding areas. A flood watch was also issued for the Upper Columbia, including the Columbia River, Kicking Horse River and the surrounding regions.
An evacuation alert is in effect for the Sim Creeks area near Malakwa. The alert covers Sundance Road and a portion of Cambie Solsqua Road between Payne Road. It also includes 2048 Cambie Solsqua Road. Nineteen homes are affected by the alert.
Recent rainfall has caused the waterway to flow abnormally high with heavy mud content and tree debris. The debris could cause the creek to breach its banks.
The evacuation alert continues for residents
of the Creekside Mobile Home Park in Enderby.
Work continues on Mabel Lake Road in Enderby after flooding washed away significant portions of the roadway. Traffic is single lane alternating until further notice.
