HALIFAX – Police have located 78-year-old Dale Ashley, who hadn’t been seen since early Thursday morning.
Ashley left Dutch Settlement at about 5:00 a.m. Thursday to go fishing, but did not return.

His family notified police Friday morning to say he had not returned, saying it was not like him not to be in contact.
RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae says the man’s truck got stuck and he had to walk until he was picked up by a local resident, who brought him to Upper Musquodoboit.
Police are currently checking on Ashley’s well-being, but MacRae says the man’s health appears to be in good condition.
