Blue Jays star Josh Donaldson reports to camp with great expectation

DUNEDIN, Fla. – Reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson says he’s excited about the upcoming Toronto Blue Jays season.

The star third baseman reported to Jays spring training camp today.

He says opposing pitchers will have a difficult time getting through Toronto’s thunderous lineup.

Most of the offensive threats of last season are back with the team again, including sluggers Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Troy Tulowitzki.

Donaldson and the Blue Jays avoided salary arbitration this off-season by agreeing to a two-year, US$28.65-million contract.

The infielder says he’s not thinking about a longer-term deal right now.
