When Hillary Clinton was asked Sunday on Meet The Press who her pick was for Super Bowl 50, her response was direct.
“I don’t have anybody right now,” Hillary responded. “I’m going to Flint, Michigan. I’m worrying about the kids in Flint, Michigan, right now, trying to figure out what we’re going to do to make sure they’re not damaged irreparably by this lead poisoning.”
The Democratic presidential hopeful made a quick visit Sunday to the Michigan city dealing with a with a water crisis which has put residents of Flint under a public health emergency.

Flint’s drinking water became tainted when the city switched from the Detroit system and began drawing from the Flint River in April 2014 to save money. The city was under state management at the time.
Water was not properly treated to keep lead from the pipes from leaching into the supply. Some children’s blood has tested positive for lead, a potent neurotoxin linked to learning disabilities, lower IQ and behavioural problems.
Clinton told residents in a Baptist church in Flint that what was happening to the city was “immoral” and demanded that Congress approve $200 million in emergency aid to address the community’s battle with lead-contaminated water.
“This is not merely unacceptable or wrong, though it is both. What happened in Flint is immoral,” Clinton said at the House of Prayer Missionary Church. “I will fight for you in Flint no matter how long it takes.”
Flint has been a main focus for the Clinton campaign for weeks. She brought the issue up during the Democratic debate and has given multiple interviews on the subject. The former Secretary of State also called for one of the Democratic presidential debates to be held in Flint and the Democratic National Committee agreed, announcing that CNN will broadcast a debate in Flint on March 6.
