These areas will be similar to the closed sections of Sainte-Catherine street in the Place des Arts section and the Village.

The streets that will be modified this year are:

  • Côte-des-Neiges and du Frère André (CDN-NDG)
  • The Notre-Dame des Victoires sector (Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve)
  • Dijon Street (Montreal North)
  • Shamrock Place (Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie)
  • De Biencourt Street and Monk Boulevard (Sud-Ouest)

The sectors were recommended by each borough following the success of a similar program last year.

The city expects an increase in pedestrian traffic will support local business in the areas.
