Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect in a road rage incident that occurred two weeks ago.
At around 3:30 p.m. Thursday Jan. 21, a woman was driving when she said she noticed she was being followed.
The 42-year-old told police she decided to alter her route, and rather than driving home she went down another road near IV Macklin School.
RCMP said Wednesday the woman’s vehicle was passed by the suspect’s vehicle in the school zone. The suspect then reportedly blocked the road with her vehicle, got out, and walked over to the victim’s car, where she punched the victim in the face through the open window.
Police said the suspect then got back into her own vehicle and drove away.
The victim suffered a broken nose and was treated in hospital.
RCMP are asking for help to find the suspect, who was driving an older model, dark grey or silver SUV that had a red-and-white sticker on the back window that has faded to pink.
