REGINA – The Carlyle RCMP are investigating the “sudden death” of a 16 year-old girl on the Whitebear First Nation.

She was found deceased about 25 yards away from residence on the First Nation around noon on Saturday. RCMP say her death is not believed to be suspicious, and her name will not be released.

Whitebear First Nation is approximately 200 kilometres southeast of Regina, off Highway 13.

An autopsy has been ordered, but a date and time have not been confirmed. The Carlyle RCMP continue to investigate.
