The search and rescue team were called to assist along with volunteers of the Sicamous Snowmobile Club.
RCMP say the men were found cold, wet and tired but were uninjured, adding the pair were not equipped to spend the night in the elements.
“The Sicamous RCMP and Shuswap Search and Rescue would like to remind people to be very aware of the terrain they are travelling into as well as being prepared for unplanned emergency situations when out in the backcountry,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk in a press release.
