EDMONTON — Maintenance work on the pool at the Clareview Community Recreation Centre is complete and the facility will reopen next week as planned.
The pool will reopen on Tuesday, March 29. It was shut down on Feb. 1 so crews could ensure the mechanical, filtration and chemical systems were working as designed. The work had to be done before the warranty expired.
The main facility remained open while the work was done.
A number of touch-ups were done, including the additional of new lockers, emergency phones and safety railings.
Damaged tiles were found during a warranty inspection at the Meadows Community Recreation Centre in southeast Edmonton last fall, leading to its closure. The pool is expected to be out of commission until the spring.
