Woman’s body pulled from lake in southern Alberta national park

LETHBRIDGE – RCMP are investigating after the body of a Lethbridge woman was found near Cameron Bay in Waterton Lakes National Park, located just north of the US border.

 

People canoeing in the area spotted a women’s body floating face-down in the water around 1:30 Friday afternoon.

The victim is a 23 year old woman from Lethbridge. 

RCMP say they won’t release the victim’s name until speaking with her family. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police continue to investigate the case and are asking for the public’s help public. Anyone who may have witnessed anything or has information relating to it is asked to contact the Pincher Creek RCMP.
