One man has drowned after a boat capsized in Headwaters Lake, approximately 30 kilometres west of Peachland. Three men were fishing Friday afternoon and when one of the men stood up, the boat overturned.
Two men swam to safety but the third man never reached the shore. A RCMP helicopter was called in to search the area. rescuers took to the waters in kayaks to look for the man but they had no luck. The deceased male is 43 years old and a resident of the Lower Mainland.

RCMP say there were life jackets in the boat at the time, but none of the men were wearing them. The Coroner Service of BC is now investigating.
