Early in the morning of May 13, 2012, members of the Olds RCMP Detachment responded to a mobile home fire in the Bowden Estates Trailer Park in Bowden, Alberta. As a result of the fire, the two occupants of the home, a 49 year old male and a 42 year old female, were found deceased inside.

The victims have been identified as Kelly Yelenik, a 49 year old male, and Sheryl Eldridge, a 42 year old female. The fire has been deemed accidental in nature. All indications are that careless smoking was a contributing factor to the cause of the fire.
The Calgary RCMP Major Crimes Unit and the Provincial Fire Commissioner were part of the investigation.
