WATCH ABOVE: A helicopter attempting to make a landing crashed after it suddenly vaulted forward on Fiji's Treasure Island resort. Seven people including the pilot walked away from the crash unhurt. Several people dining only metres away caught the incident on camera.

A helicopter crash was caught on camera as it attempted to land at Fiji’s Treasure Island resort on Wednesday. Diners were only metres away when the attempted landing went horribly awry according a report on The Daily Mail Online.

The video shows the helicopter coming in for a landing, but all of a sudden the helicopter vaulted forward.

Yang Yang, from Kunming in China, posted the video on her Facebook page.

“Crash that took place yesterday in the Treasure Islands of Fiji, just 5 metres away from the helicopter, you cannot imagine what we have experienced,” she wrote in Chinese.

All six passengers and the pilot were aboard at the time of the incident and all miraculously walked away from it unhurt.

Australian Bob Carroll wrote on Facebook, “Bizarreo [sic] and freaky and scary but thank God all got out of the chopper and we are all OK.”

The Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji is investigating the cause, but have deemed the crash an ‘accident.’ There was no cause given for the crash, but possible explanations include a sudden gust of wind or human error.
