SASKATOON – France has taken a big step to try and fight anorexia in its modelling industry. New laws adopted last week require all models working in France to have a doctors certificate confirming they are in good health.
Also, any picture edited to alter a models size will need to be labelled “touched-up.”

The laws are aimed at stopping anorexia, which affects an estimated 40,000 people in France.
Similar laws are already exist in Israel, Italy and Spain. So far Canada doesn’t have any regulations.
