REGINA – The Regina Pats are continuing to find ways to get into the win column even thought the teams special teams have been anything but special.

The Queen City Club sits in the bottom five of both power play and penalty killing in the WHL. In fact, totaling up the Pats rankings in both categories places them ahead of only Medicine Hat and Kootenay, the two teams at the very bottom of the league standings.

Despite or in spite of this stat, the Pats are currently 7th in the East and firmly entrenched in a playoff position as Christmas break approaches.

The Pats 15-13-4 record is behind last season’s pace at the same time when the club held a 19-11-1 record.

This year’s version of the Pats are boasting a winning record on the road which is a good thing as the team has already played an East Division high 18 games away from the Brandt Centre.
