Hit-and-run leaves Montreal senior in critical condition

MONTREAL – A 70-year-old man is in hospital in critical, but stable condition after a hit-and-run in Montreal’s north-end.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday night at the corner of Jarry and St. Denis streets.

The driver of the car fled the scene, but was stopped a couple of blocks away.

“A woman aged 51-years-old, was arrested after the accident,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant with Montreal police.

“She was transported to a detention centre and could face accusations of hit-and-run.”

The woman could be charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing injuries.
