“Our staff is continuously monitoring our sewer system and we reacted quickly to repair this leak, as we do whenever any identified leaks are found,” said Karen Gasmo, Transportation and Facilities Executive Director.
The city does not know how much sewage was released. Provincial officials were notified about the leak and the city is working with regulatory agencies to meet environmental requirements.
