Parts of the South Okanagan and Similkameen are dealing with the aftermath of Thursday’s floods.
In Oliver and Chute Lake, rapid snow melt led to flooding and washouts caused roads to cave in.
Crews in those towns have been working around the clock to clear out the debris and repair the roads.

In Tulameen, residents remain under an evacuation alert.
Dale Kronebush from the South Okanagan and Similkameen Regional District says the snow melt has slowed down as temperatures have cooled down.
But, Kronebush adds, “We’ll keep an eye on water levels, making sure to assist residents who are trying to cope with another half a meter of water in the area and just keep an eye on the community.”
In the past four days Otter Lake has risen more than five meters.
One third of the almost 300 homes have been affected by flood water.
Officials are warning people to stay away from river banks as fast flowing rivers and soil erosion makes these areas dangerous at this time of year.
