Pelican Narrows RCMP charge young man with second-degree murder

RCMP have charged a young man in relation to a suspicious death investigation in northern Saskatchewan. Johnston Linklater, 18, is facing one count of second-degree murder.

On Nov. 30, officers were called to a sudden death in the community of Pelican Narrows, Sask. Antoine Custer, 26, was found dead in an open outdoor area.

Linklater was arrested by RCMP without incident on Dec. 3. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday via video link.

The victim and the accused are from Pelican Narrows.

The investigation is ongoing.
