Outpouring of grief, calls for gun control after mass shooting in California

A mass shooting Wednesday at a California centre that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities has left at least 14 people dead and 17 injured.

Officials said as many as three gunmen stormed the San Bernardino-area Inland Regional Center “prepared to do what they did as if they were on a mission.”

Condemnation of the attack was swift, as condolences poured in for those affected.

As the news unfolded of yet another mass shooting in the U.S., there was a renewed call to action to stop the violence and for gun control.
