WATCH ABOVE: Extended interview with sports anchor Jay Onrait in the Global Edmonton studios.

EDMONTON – Canadian sports anchor Jay Onrait was in Edmonton on Sunday night for the signing of his latest book, “Number Two.”

His career started at Global Edmonton back when it was still ITV, and since 2003 he has been frequently paired with fellow Canadian broadcaster Dan O’Toole.

The duo anchored together at TSN until 2013, when they took their show south of the border to Fox Sports.

While in Edmonton Onrait sat down with Global’s Kent Morrison to talk about his Alberta roots, where his show on Fox Sports is headed, how social media affects the decisions journalists make, and why Edmonton Oilers fans need to show some more passion in the stands.
