Metro Vancouver’s Utilities Committee is meeting today and there is a proposal to discuss a new timeframe for water restrictions next year.
Currently, water restrictions start in June and run until September.
However, after this summer’s drought, officials think they should start sooner and end later.
Starting next year, Stage One restrictions are expected to start in May and last until October.
Metro Vancouver is also planning a comprehensive review of its water shortage response plan.
