MONTREAL – There was a home invasion on Baldwin street in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Sunday night.
A little before 3 a.m., three people broke into and robbed an apartment, waking the sleeping family of four.
The man and woman, along with their two children, alerted police.
The robbers were scared off and ran away.
Two possible suspects, aged 17 and 18, were arrested and will be questioned; a search continues for the third.
“They are being charged with break-and-entry, possession of stolen goods, conspiracy and armed robbery,” said Manuel Couture with Montreal police.
This is the second home invasion in Mercier in the last week.
The two suspects will appear in court Tuesday.
