WINNIPEG – A poppy donation box was taken from a Winnipeg restaurant on Sunday.
Staff at Perkins Restaurant on Henderson Highway are looking for help in finding the donation box.
Money from the box goes to fundraising efforts at their local Legion.
“How could you do this? Why would you take money from these people?” General Manager Joanne Baker told Global News Monday.

Baker is hoping customers that were in the restaurant on Sunday may have seen who took the box. Surveillance video at the time of the theft stutters and the theft is not clearly seen.
Baker told Global News that she has received more information and will be following up with the Legion and the Winnipeg police.
