Edmonton police investigate stabbing in Old Strathcona

EDMONTON — Edmonton police are looking for two suspects after a 24-year-old man was sent to hospital with multiple stab wounds early Saturday morning.

Police were called to a weapon’s complaint in the area of 104 Street and 84 Avenue at around 5:35 a.m.

Officers said a 24-year-old man was suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery. Police said the man was in critical but stable condition Sunday.

Police are now searching for two suspects, believed to be teenagers.

One of the suspects is described as an 18-year-old aboriginal man who is 6’1″ tall, clean shaven with black shoulder-length hair.

The other is an aboriginal girl, about 17 years old, who is 5’0″ tall with a thin build and long, black hair.
