UPDATE: The address where the fire occurred is 2311 Boucherie Road across the street from the Mac’s convenience store.
West Kelowna fire department says the body was discovered by fire fighters and that there were no other occupants in the home at the time.
Damage to the outside home is minimal. Damage to the inside of the home was mostly smoke and heat.
A blue minivan is parked in the laneway.
The fire was called in by a passerby and that there were no pets found in the home which is now surrounded by police tape.

The identity of the victim or her age have not been revealed by authorities.
Neighbours say three people lived at the residence – two men and a woman.
The residence was busted as a grow-op in 2012.

WEST KELOWNA — RCMP are treating the death of a woman in West Kelowna as suspicious.
The woman’s body was found in a Boucherie Road home early Wednesday morning.
The house was on fire when the body was discovered. The cause of the fire is also considered as suspicious.
Police don’t offer a specific address on Boucherie Road, nor do they reveal the woman’s age.
