A thick blanket of fog covered much of Britain for a second day and the unusually bad weather created an eerie scene.
Flights were cancelled and motorists were urged to stay off the streets of London as thick fog cloaked the English capital.
The fog rolled in on Sunday, sending London into a damp and dark mess. However, many Londoners took to social media to share images of the masked city.
Photos taken from the air show some of London’s iconic buildings peeking through the thick wall of fog, while images from the city streets show more of a haunting scene.
