HALIFAX – Prince Edward continues his tour of Nova Scotia on Monday.
The Earl of Wessex, who arrived in Halifax on Sunday, is the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth.
The Prince plans to tour the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. IWK spokesperson Nick Cox tells Global News that this is the Prince’s first visit to the facility.
Cox said the Prince will visit children’s units and women’s health units during the 1.5 hour tour.
The Prince will also participate in a Gold Award Ceremony for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at the Halifax Central Library.
The visit ends with an event for community leaders and volunteers at Government House.
The prince will also visit Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.
