REGINA – Following the close results of the Regina-Lewvan riding in the federal election the Conservative Party is requesting a judicial recount of the votes.

Trent Fraser of the Conservative Party lost to the NDP’s Erin Weir by just 133 votes in last Monday’s election.

“We want to ensure that every vote cast in last Monday’s election was properly counted,” said Conservative Part of Canada Electoral District Association President Theo Bryson.

“With such a close margin in this race, all voters of Regina-Lewvan need to know that the counting process was done correctly.”

There were 48,015 ballots cast in the Regina-Lewvan riding.
