TORONTO — City councillor and former mayor Rob Ford has hit a “bump in the road” in his recovery from cancer, according to his brother Doug.
“It’s not that it’s good news or bad news, people have been asking about Rob — he’s had a little bump in the road, but nothing that we can’t get over,” Doug Ford told AM640 on Tuesday.
“Rob’s a fighter and we appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers that come our way everyday. Just keep ’em coming because we need ’em.”

Doug said the former mayor would be talking about the specifics of his condition it in the next couple of days.
Rob dropped out of the 2014 mayoral election after it was discovered that he had a cancerous abdominal tumour.
After undergoing surgery and chemotherapy in May, the former mayor said doctors had not found any new tumours.
Ford has been sitting as a councillor for Etobicoke Ward 2 since Oct. 2014.
