WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government is planning a comprehensive review of Winnipeg’s taxi industry.
The review will focus on improving customer service and safety as well as issues such as licensing and rates.

It will include public consultations as well as input from the business and tourism sectors.
The province is looking for a contractor who will conduct the review.
It’s outcome could create changes to the Taxicab Act, said Municipal Government Minister Drew Caldwell in a written release.
