A Jacksonville, Fla. mother of three is upset after the deceased body of her 16-year-old son was allegedly posted online by the motorist who killed him.
Connie Coles said she found out from relatives that the dead body of her son, Trevius Williams, was posted on social media by the 19-year-old motorist who hit him.
“My niece calls me and tells me that this guy that killed my son has taken pictures and put it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Who does that? You’d have to be some type of monster,” Connie Coles said to FCN News.
Williams was crossing the street to get to a store to buy a loaf of bread when he was hit be the unidentified driver.
Another post from the suspect read: “I drunk so much… I feel like I’m off a NyQuil.”
Florida police said the motorist was not tested for any impairment and that the drinking quote was from a song.
Coles told FCN she’s not happy with the way the situation was handled.
“I’m angry because detectives told me that there was no alcohol or drugs involved. Well how would you know if he wasn’t tested?” told Coles to FCN.
FCN reports the image of Williams was also shared on Instagram and Facebook.
“We won’t ever see [my son] again after we lay him to rest. I don’t even wanna go back home,” told Coles to FCN. “I have to pack up his clothes, I gotta give away his shoes – my son is never coming back.”
