Need a lift to go vote? A list of options for a free ride to the polls

It’s time to grab your voter card and head to the polls. For some that is easier said than done, but there are resources available to people needing a ride.

BC Transit

Grab a ride for free Monday on BC Transit in Victoria, Nanaimo, Prince George, Dawson Creek, Penticton, Cowichan Valley, Williams Lake, Port Alberni and Fort St John.

“Show your voter’s card as a ticket to ride on transit,” said Susan Brice, chair of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission, in a statement. “The Victoria Regional Transit Commission is proud to promote increased voter turnout and encourage ridership on BC Transit.”

Victoria requires that you show your voter card, so make sure you ask officials at the poll to let you keep your form.
