Liberal Ralph Goodale win Regina-Wascana riding

REGINA – For the eighth time in his political career Liberal Ralph Goodale has won his seat in Regina-Wascana.

Goodale was going up against Conservative candidate Michael Kram, NDP candidate April Bourgeois and Green Party candidate Frances Simonson.

The Regina-Wascana riding is one of the two urban only riding’s in Regina and it has been historically the Liberal’s only seat in Saskatchewan.

The riding boundaries consist of all parts of Regina east of Albert Street and south of the CP rail line. The riding used to contain a number of small towns to the southeast of the city, but they have been removed through redistribution.

In the 2011 election Liberal MP Ralph Goodale defeated Conservative candidate Ian Shields by 3.9 per cent.

Ralph Goodale has been an MP since 1993.
