Blind dog’s rescue story breaks hearts while going viral

TORONTO – While man’s best friend can cheer you up and make you laugh, turns out dogs can also bring us to tears.

A YouTube video chronicling the rescue of a blind, flea-infested abandoned dog, Fiona has gone viral this week, moving those who watch her sad plight and uplifting recovery.

Eldad and Audrey Hagar found Fiona last year in a trash heap in South Los Angeles when they took the poodle mix home, shaved her hair, bathed her and took her to a doctor who restored vision in one of her eyes.
