HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police are investigating a case of possible food tampering involving a Kellogg’s Rice Krispies square.

Police say a woman called police on Thursday after finding a paper clip when she bit into a Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats bar that she purchased about three months ago at the Braemar Drive Superstore in Dartmouth.

The bar came in a box of eight individually wrapped bars.

The woman was not injured and the incident was reported to the Superstore by police.

Police ask any one who finds a foreign object in a food item to refrain from throwing out the food or wrapper/packaging and to immediately contact police so the items can be given to investigators.
