REGINA – An Esterhazy man is facing numerous charges after drugs, cash and weapons were discovered at a home in Esterhazy, Sask.

Esterhazy RCMP, with help from the Yorkton, Kamsack and Moosomin RCMP, searched a home in the 800 block of Gonczy Ave. and found nearly five pounds of cocaine, one pound of crack cocaine, several ounces of crystal methamphetamine, a large amount of Canadian currency and two firearms.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Sarwar Habib of Esterhazy has been charged with trafficking, possession of a weapon and property obtained by crime and careless use of a firearm.

Habib remains in police custody and will make his next court appearance on October 8 in Yorkton.
