Possible chocolate bar tampering sparks warning from police

HALIFAX – Police are alerting the public to a potential chocolate bar tampering incident in Halifax.

A man reported having discovered a pin in a Godiva brand chocolate bar after he bit into it on Sunday. The man purchased the bar at The Bay in the Mic Mac Mall on Saturday.

The man wasn’t injured.

The incident was reported to The Bay and the rest of the chocolate bars were removed from the shelves.

Police ask anyone who finds a foreign object in food not to throw the food out, or the wrapper/packaging. Instead they advise people to call police so the items can be given to investigators.
