CALGARY – Despite a soggy start, hundreds laced up in Eau Claire to “Run for Calgary.”
About 500 people participated in the not-for-profit’s sixth annual event.

Each year, the group chooses a charity or organization to support. This year, they decided to focus on gathering funds to help sick kids and their families.
“We chose it because children are the big future and we want to put emphasis on that. There’s a lot of care going to them and they should have the best of everything,” says organizer Nabigh Amad.
The run should raise roughly $50,000.
