REGINA – An upcoming traffic blitz means Regina drivers can expect to see an increased police presence throughout the city over the next few days.
The Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P) is partnership between SGI and several law enforcement agencies throughout the province that will be combining their resources to focus on traffic enforcement and education.
Regina’s S.T.E.P blitz will run on September 16th and September 17th. Stop checks will be happening at various locations throughout the city including near school zones and residential areas.
The main areas of focus will be speeding, unregistered vehicles, car seats, cell phones and seat belt violations.
S.T.E.P. blitzes have already been completed in Yorkton and Prince Albert.
