Emily Blunt: ‘I don’t want to be the next action star’

After a recent interview with Emily Blunt, it seems as though our very own Roz Weston has found himself a new favourite actress. In an interview to chat about Blunt’s upcoming film Sicario, wherein she plays a butt-kicking FBI agent, the 32-year-old actress mentioned that she is very happy with where she is in life.

“I’m feeling very, very happy,” she says. “I feel like people are allowing me to be diverse and not cornering me into one thing. I do think because it’s sort of an anomaly to see women in these action-esque roles. I don’t want to be anointed the next action star because I don’t want to go to the gym all the time.”

After discovering some similarities between the two, the Into The Woods star joked, “So many Americans have come in here being like ‘welcome’! and I’m like NO!”.
