A teen has been arrested following a home invasion and chase south of Saskatoon early Friday morning. Mounties were first called to investigate a number of break and enters to homes in the Dundurn area.
Mounties called in the Saskatoon police air support unit to help them track the suspects who were driving a black Dodge Journey and a white Ford pickup truck, which had been stolen in Saskatoon.
The drivers sped off when Mounties tried to stop the vehicles, leading to a chase.

The pickup truck got away but police were able to disable the Dodge Journey using spike belts. The driver then fled on foot towards Dundurn.

The air support unit tracked the driver as he fled towards Dundurn, where he broke into a house and stole a vehicle.
He then led police on a chase up Highway 11 towards Saskatoon.
Saskatoon police officers deployed stop sticks near the overpass of highways 11 and 16, disabling the vehicle. They arrested a 16-year-old.
He is facing a number of charges including break and enter, home invasion, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited and failing to stop for police. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large.
