SHUSWAP — Effective September 11 until December 31, 2015, angling in Salmon Arm Bay will no longer be allowed west of a line between Engineer’s Point and Sunnybrae Point.

Conservation concerns and low flows have resulted in the BC Government putting a fishing suspension at the confluence of the Salmon River and Shuswap Lake.
Low flows make fish stocks vulnerable, and low water can cause concerns with migrating chinook and coho populations.
This closure is in conjunction with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
