Two people injured in central Alberta shooting

EDMONTON — The RCMP says two men were injured in a shooting in the town of Eckville.

The shooting happened Wednesday night in Eckville, which is west of Red Deer.

Sylvan Lake RCMP said they were called to reports of gunshots at a home on the outskirts of Eckville. When officers arrived, they found two men with serious injuries.

STARS air ambulance responded to the scene.

Both victims, including a man in his 20s, are being treated in Red Deer Hospital.

Police won’t say if they are searching for any suspects.

The RCMP Serious Crimes Branch is assisting in the investigation.
